Just a heads up if your looking for something to do on Labor Day.
For a small town Palmer puts on a fun day with something for everyone.
There is a slow pitch softball tournament going on all weekend.
On Sunday evening there will be a hymn sing and outdoor movie. With an ICE CREAM social in between.
Monday is the big day.
We have our tractor show all day long. We shell corn through an early 1900's corn sheller, powered by a Sixty this year and hopefully will also have a threshing machine and steam engine on the grounds this year.
A 5K fun run or walk starting at 7:00 am. ( sorry no Caterpillars allowed)
Downtown has arts and crafts-flea market.
A BEER garden.
25 cent games for the kids.
There is a quilt show.
Frisbee golf and ladder golf ( I don't know)
There is a trap shoot that starts at 9:00 ( bring your guns, second amendment is alive and well here)
A parade at 3:00 and a whole hog BBQ in the evening.
Ya"ll come
For more info you can call me at 785-692-4288
Thanks, Jim
