That's odd, cat used to sell thinner for their paint, I have a can will look and update
Just another alkyd enamel, 458-9576 is manufactured by Sherwin Williams.

Very Slow…..Paint Thinner (Stoddard Solvent)
Based on your location\temperature\humidity - be aware. In my experience most paints are " ideally" applied around 70 F. Of course you can paint almost at any temp with correct combinations of chemicals and heaters etc, just something to be aware of. I recently sprayed some primer surfacer and directions stated not to apply below 50 F.
Also, I always add catalyst\hardener to oil base enamels. Makes the paint more durable and fuel resistant, in my opinion. 1\2 pint to one gallon ration. Tractor supply sells it - or try Amazon . In my warmer climate I have had good luck with acetone as a reducer
Thanks Old Magnet you are a wealth of knowledge. What ratio do you think I should mix if I use Acetone?
I don't know of any fixed ratio. Get yourself a viscosity cup and thin accordingly for spraying. In general about 10% is considered maximum. That Cat paint may be close to spraying viscosity right out of the can but I have not used that product.
Always use a good respirator, especially when using hardeners.
