I am in the final stages of preping my 22 tailseat for paint. I am reluctantly considering purchasing my paint from Tractor Supply. This 22 will only be used as a show tractor and will not get any real work for as long as I own it. I am worried that the paint from Tractor Supply will not keep it's shine for more than a year or so. Has anyone used this paint and how did it hold up? I need to purchase my paint this week because the tractor needs to be done ASAP.
Thanks
Andy

Thanks for the input. How does the color match to the Old Hiway Yellow.

I used TSC Valspar paint with a hardener and my Cat still looks good. No problems here so far.

I had a spray can of Caterpillar Old Yellow paint that I touched up over the TSC and it really matched very well.

Just add some hardener to it Andy and it'll keep its lustre longer.
Cheers,
Neil.

Well I ended up buying my paint at TSC and got it all painted on Sunday. I am almost done final assembly, just need to put the hood on. The paint flowed well and covered great. Here are some pics of when I got my 22 and then before paint as well as what it looks like today.

    Andy,

Wait a minute, let me put my sunglasses on.

WOW! That Cat sure is bright and clean. WOW!

Thanks for the complements. It has come together nicely. I am going to take it to the Oregon House show here in No. California next weekend. I am really looking forward to showing off all the hard work I ( and some help from my dad) put into it.
