I'm not a military history buff, nor a Jeep guy, but found this interesting and thought some of you would too. When I was working on the ACMOC D4 military model, I found researching the history of the markings very interesting, so it is neat to see these so well preserved. Also wished we had records on our old Cats from this time frame as good as what these guys describe in the article for the Jeeps.

Maybe gives me a few decorating ideas too...

Great post thanks I am still driving a Ford GPW script, I replaced the stock steering with Saginaw power steering and the T84 trans with the T90 and the body was rotted and beat down to nothing left, it got a new body in 1976 it has been in the family since "69".

Thanks very much for that link, I finally took time to read the article and it was very interesting, I had never heard of that color-changing paint they used to detect the chemical weapons.
