So, after 1813 weeks working in the IT Division at Stellenbosch University here in Stellenbosch, South Africa, I'll be retiring at the end of this week.
(Just short of 35 years)

What will I be doing with myself?
Lots: I've got a HDD-list that runs into quite a few chapters... (HDD=Hunny Do Dis, Hunny Do Dat),

Included in that list is making some video's of Cats located here in the Western Cape in South Africa.
First on the list is extending our Patio from 6sq meter to 22 sq meter...
then clearing out some 'treasures' (aka junk) from my single garage.
Visiting old friends and family, exploring the back roads and some National Parks in our country with our trusted little Suzuki Jimny, camping along the way as much as possible, and wandering along less ambled-along gravel roads, scouting for cats hidden in the African bush, and possibly scouting (and shooting on video of course) a few Cats too!

You can take a Cat operator away from a Cat, but you can never take the Cat out of a Cat operator...

Not planning to retire from this here ACMOC group though

Congrats on your pending retirement. Sounds like you have a plan in place too, rather than “rust” at home. Hope that you get to do everything on your list. If I work hard enough, I might consider retirement also! Best wishes. JM

Nice to hear from you Dewets and about your new life 👍 Lots of us would like to meet you. You think you’ll be making it to one of the big tractor shows in the states during retirement?

Thys,
Get hold of me if you ever travel through the Eastern Cape.
The old 7u needs some repairs but you are welcome to spend a few hours on one of the D4E's.
Enjoy the retirement.
