Well
I'm redoing a pup motor for a 8R, need rod bearings😮 . I can find Mains through RegalCorp. I have searched all bearing sources for pup motors even jd sources have come up empty except for 😮 Cat 😮 is this the only place you can get rod bearings now? I would like some input. I'm thinking of getting new rods made and grinding the crank down to the next nomial size bearings that I could find easy. any sugg.
thanks

Look into having them babbitted. When I was hunting undersize bearings I came up with three shops that do it. Pony motors don't run all that much. Babbits are a lot better than they used to be. Any shop with a rod reconditioning hone can make them fit.

Try GAFFREY BABBITTING in N. Dakota 701-225-5482

or PAUL'S ROD AND BEARING in Missouri 816-587-4747 talk to Russ. (Probably best bet)

or VINTAGE ENGINE MACHINE WORKS in Spokane, WA 509-999-2119

Good luck.
