Alright, here are some pictures of Randy Tiede's 36 B being pulled with Ted Billups' three cylinder D6. Ted will be 93 on his next birthday, he has been a Caterpillar mechanic since he was 17. He still goes to work every day, he just doesn't put in as long of days as he used to. If I knew what Ted has forgot about Cats, I'd feel pretty darn smart. Even though it was hot we still had a great day.

Thanks for posting pictures. If I was a teacher I would make my kids go and fill and sew sacks on top to appreciate their bread lol. Really nice looking harvester and tractor, nice to keep them inside.

Ok, here are a few more, my third daughter was riding on the Cat with me. The two older girls were on the combine.

Nice to see some of the younger ones are taking a interest. Some other interesting thing in the back ground maybe a JD95H and a Gleaner MH.

I see this is another harvester with the wheel under the hitch, all most all here had that wheel removed. Some thing about riding the hillside better. Don't know how common fires are but I see neither engine has a spark arrester. Down here that mean you must have caused it and are responsible for the states cost of putting it out.

We'll really try to make the events next year. At least one of the three, preferably yours.

Great photographs Bruce! The human element makes a great photo especially when you have family and friends on or near the equipment. I look forward to meeting you at some point in the future. I was pleased that you were able to obtain the D6 9U and D6B after a lot of effort. I thought your idea of adding some of the modifications indicative of the Northwest to the D6 9U was a good one as there are a lot of stock D6 9U's in the world at least here in Superior California (north end of the Sacramento Valley). I put a new air conditioner on my D6B and now it is a pleasure to use. When you farm almonds and walnuts there is little need for a D6B, except when you take out old orchards and farm the ground for at couple of years before you replant. Did you have a chance to use the D7M this spring?

I'm slowly getting better at taking pictures. I'm hoping the girls will be able to pull the Harris on their own someday. Right now they're just not strong enough to operate much, but all in due time. Right now I'm just trying to get them familiar with stuff so that they're not scared of it.

Iron Appraiser, I did start the 7M the other day. I still need to get into that steering clutch. There has been a spring break out in front of the shed where it's parked, pretty crazy considering how dry it's been this summer. Anyhow the mud sort of dampened my enthusiasm to work on it this summer. I've made some drainage ditches so maybe it will dry out enough to get it done yet this fall.

Casey, which ever one you an make it to, I'm sure you'll have a great time! Of course the camper offer still stands.
