Nielske, Jeff Huff has a fairly extensive boneyard in Honeoye NY so if you're over east, that could be somewhere to visit. If you want a #40, go see Juiceman : )

If you can sign up for the Caterpillar show at the training center and a tour of the factory, you'll really enjoy those
there's lost of spring show on the east coast. lakeside sand and gravel is the end April. national pike in Pennsylvania has a spring show as well. Zagray Farm Museum, rock busters you could go thought the HCEA buildings with a phone call to let them know you coming and well you can't forget the earthmoving legacies center that could take a hole day. I know of a few 212's in the northwest part of north Dakota. I sure someone from out east can tell you better.
The Earthmoving Legacy Center in Elkader, Iowa would definitely be a good stop for you, located about 3.5 hours from Chicago or Peoria. There's some good tractors to check out at the Heartland Museum in Clarion, Iowa as well (Larry has a Late Stockton Holt 75 that is beautiful, among others).
