I have a D4 later book here & they list the same 5F6607 pump assem. for them & I kind of thought they did as things there are about the same on both the 4 & 6 cyl. engines except the D6 has two more cylinders. Did you try a Cat dealer for parts as they might stock them yet.Might be just as cheap to buy a whole new pump if available for them if they are eat up so bad with rust.

sj, we can't afford the canadian cat dealers up here, so that is why i posted on the BBs to find a southern source for pumps and parts.

also the fact a lot of new BB members can learn too.

Hi KoO,
Sorry, I haven't really found any bargain places for fuel transfer pumps and parts. Cat still has gears and all the little parts but the usual pricey. Last check I made on a rebuilt unit was with www.florintractor.com and the price was $600 rebuilt with rebuildable core. Too pricey for me so I scrounged up a good used one. D4/D6 same thing. I was going to see what I could find in universal gears but never got around to it. Be interesting to see if someone comes up with some other info to this post.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
