I know I have said this before, but I have, I have close to a 100 old Cat movies. They r all 16mm films, some date back to the 20's and 30's.I am located in Philly and if anyone has a cheap way of putting them on CD's I would give them to you to have transfer over.It could be a great way for one of the chapters to raise money.I have shown these at a few of our chapter 8 get together and they were a big hit.My number is 215-669-1252.

Even if they can not be sold they would be a great item for the club to transfer onto a electronic format and preserve them for everyones enjoyment. I would kick in a $100.00 to start a fund to pay someone to copy them if others are interested.

don't sell them but give them away for a "small donation"

One time there was a small country store not far from me that a old man ran. One day a state employee came by and told him that if he wanted to continue to sell things he needed a license and follow all regulations. So the old man just smiled and shook his hand, a while later the same State man came by and asked if everything was ok, the answer was yes, the state man noticed that no license had been purchased and asked what the problem was. The old man said he no longer needed a license as he no longer was going to sell items. The state man thought for a minute and asked how he was going to stay in business. The old man response was everything is now free in the store and if people chose to make a donation they could. The state man asked how is that working out for you, the old man replied "business has not been this good in years"!

I guess some times there is an alternate way to do things or as the old expression goes " there's more than one way to skin a cat"

Pete,my offer is a standing one.I will just put it on the back buner. If you want send me your address or email and I will shot you a list of what I have.Like I said I have somewhere around 50 that are from the 20's to 40's,and maybe another 100 that are from the 60's these ones are mostly Cat training films. The only problem I see would be getting the films to Terry.I am sure I will be going west one day and maybe will just leave them at the clubs HQ.Have a great day.Mike

The 16mm movie can be reproduced at several places. The films Tom gave the club are 35mm and very few places touch them any more. That is why I went to the UW film school. Your films do not need to come to me. The office would be better place for them right now.
