I just found that a friend of a friend has an old D4. All I know now is that he thinks it is a mid 40s,sitting outside under a tight tarp for ten years, drove it to where it is parked and the pony is missing. They would always pull start it. I obviously have not seen it yet to have any idea what the undercarriage looks like. I know that is no information to go on but I am trying to figure out what a bottom price might be on a find like this...worst case I guess you might say. I am hoping to see it in the next week if possible. Thanks for any info or major visual items to look for. I have been working on our old grader but the next oldest is our 955 so my old stuff hands on is kind of limited. JEFF😕

Hi Jeff get as much info as you can. Model and serial No are the most important. You'll then get alot of advice and help.
Good luck. Gordon.

I wish I had that already but I will probably be on the spot to buy or not when I see it. It isn't officialy for sale but will be available to me. I am following Richards post on his machine as well. Thanks, JEFF

Well,I hate to start a thread and not finish....this did not materialize but you don't get a deer (CAT here) if you are not out for the hunt. Thanks again, JEFF

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
