On my 1930 fifteen i have 3 oiler cups on top of the transmition. There is one on the front that oils the main shaft (just in front of the slewing clutch leavers) And 2 on the back of the transmision that oil the slewing clutch bearings. What i want to know is what is the original cover that went on the top. I have spring loaded covers on and 2 are broken. Does anyone know the thread size of these as i have found spring loaded ones for sale. I have seen a pic of one that has a big thingy on there.
Thanks stew

That's close but the cup could be a little bigger that will work for the two over the steering clutch but on my 15 the one for the throw out bearing is a little bigger than that. Ill see if I can get a pic. Jason

That should be the one for the throw out bearing

Hi Team,
my old 7C Fifteen PB shows Gits #208 for the for the steer clutches, and #801 for the main clutch.
These numbers do not appear in Gits's current catalogue but, this link shows the current ones available under a different catalogue number.

http://www.gitsmfg.com/style-c-brazed-2/

These cups should have either a 1/8" NPT or 1/4" NPT thread.
Old NPR Caterpillar P/No I have for these cups is 1/8"=4B0354 and 1/4"=4B0576.

For rough estimation of pipe thread size you add 1/4" to the nominated thread size--twice the approximate wall thickness of pipe.
Thereby a 1/8" pipe thread will measure about 3/8" dia. and 1/4" will be about 1/2" dia.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
