i have sorted out my starter motor problems on my 933 traxcavator thanks
now when i read the service manual with the view to changing all oils and filters it said to run kerosene through final drive and transmission is this okay? the left side of final drive was low on oil could it be the cause of lh steering not operating

The transmission and final drive use 80/90 oil and no your stering cluch and brake should need a adjustement

The transmission and final drive use 80/90 oil and no your stering cluch and brake should need a adjustement
when i undid gauze filter on the transmission the filter was clogged with silicone and gunk a spanner fell out of the transmission about a pint of water drained and this black gooey gunk with the oil i thought i would put a cleaner through the transmission but when the manual said to fill it with kero and run it back and forth for 5 minutes i started to wonder what do you know about transmission and final drive washing with kero

I have used diesel to flush wash finals etc... remember at the time some of these old manuals were written, fluids and oils, are a little different today.-glen
