I was talking to a nice fella up in north Queensland yesterday about these hats, I reckon if Byron was to ship 50-75 of them out to Oz and the price wasn't ridiculous, that a home could be found for them over a few months, I'd buy a couple myself, I reckon the trick would be to have them all sent initially to southern Queensland for distribution to other States, there seems to be a heavy concentration of Catheads around the Darling Downs and from there it seems someone is driving to rallies or Cathouses south and west if you wait long enough.

From my experience getting caps made, the more you can order the cheaper they get, I bought a nice tan colored baseball cap off Fleabay a year or 2 ago with the wavy Caterpillar writing, I think it was about $12 or $14, it is covered with Cat pox specks now unfortunately after I wore it driving my RD6 at a local old machinery Rally, the old 3 cylinder diesel needed a good flogging to cure her slobbers which she got on the sled, and my nice new hat copped a black oil misty shower, so I need a nice clean hat for Sunday best.
Regards
Mike

I just had a quick look at the ACMOC Store and I see there is a grey baseball cap with red wavy lettering already being sold by the ACMOC Club which I never realized, I wonder how much difference there will be between the 2 hats because it is good to put a few bucks back into the ACMOC Club where ever possible, historically for me the postage to Australia from the Club Store in the USA has often been twice or more what the purchased item costs so I kinda gave up looking in the Store, but if there were 20 or 30 people in Oz looking to buy a item like this cap the freight cost could be very reasonable because the United States Postal Service only charge about $65 for 20 pounds weight in their "Flat Rate Airmail" box.

I've never bought anything from Byron in England yet though I intend to buy some brass plates for my tractors when they are available, everyone here seems to say the quality of his work in the past is first class so I have no doubt the hats will be good, though I'm assuming they are not the same or even similar to the ones the ACMOC Club currently has on the shelf in the Store, no point two different people making the same things in my opinion.
