Got a 212 grader sitting idle about 40 years. Any ideas on how to get the injector nuts to turn? The head is off and the valves are out. Thanks.

It takes a special socket with a long handle. There is a thread on here somewhere, that shows how to make one. That's what I did and it worked great.

I posted a thread some time ago...on how we made a socket to remove the injectors...They're the same as on a D2...I've got a couple CAT 212's that I use...

In. dog, thank you. I found that picture you were talking about. That is precisely the item I need, and it looks easy to make. Thanks again, Richard

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
