Ok, I am bored here looking at 7e no. 10 auto patrol and 9f no. 10 auto patrol parts books as well as the 3f power unit parts book. The 7e goes from 7e1 to 7e460 with a frame change at 7e450 to remove two bolts. The 3f power unit shows major updates at around 3f300 on the machine. Now here is my question was the diesel engine installed into the 7e frame to make up the difference of 300 power units and shut to 450 frames or where other brands of gas engines used? The 9f became a much beefier built frame than the 7e. Just wondering what ya all have seen out there and know about. My mind really looks into things when its bored and then I start to wonder about these things.

Let me clarify my questions. Did the 7e #10 auto patrol use only the 3f (28?) power unit in it span of 460 machines? Or did it use the 20 and 25 power unit also? Also did this series ever get the diesel power unit in it or was this the Mai reason for the updated heavier built frame in the 9f #10 auto patrols?

Hi Rodten,
cabin fever must be high at present--lol
Scans are from many sources and are best I can help with for you to be more confused.
With the No1 and 2 mg specs charts you will need to read the bottom lines on each chart--there are Line No's on the first chart but cold not scan wide enough to capture the No 2 page Line No's--this chart is a fold out and so is mega wide.
One of the charts talks about frame type and weight per foot.

From memory Eric Christenbery (spelling?) has a good site for Grader Info. and likely has most of this too.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Eddie B.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
