Hello, to all down Under in New Zealand!
Hope all are OK and no personal problems nor damage to homes, shops or toys!

Just got reply from John Neal in Blenheim that all's well there just a couple of dishes fell of the shelves and the epi-center was only 40 miles or so away. He mentioned that Wellington didn't fair as well as they did.

Any news from TomCatNZ or others...????

Hi did we make world news? I live 100 miles north of Willington and we had one good long roll that moved tool trolleys around in the shop. We could hear it comming before we felt it but there was no damage around here. Thanks for asking

ruakina cat,
Yes, there were two mentions of the event; one on TV and one over the radio...but no "story" that followed up with details.
Next day as mentioned, the quakes in China got the lime-lite as there were several folks killed.....and like our newspapers poeple
say..."if it bleeds it leads"....nothin like gore to sell a story!

Sounds like there wasn't too much damage...that's a good thing, for sure!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
