CTS, camshaft isn’t in the block at all. You can see the cam bearing bores. Perhaps you’re seeing the little stub shaft that the accessory drive gear rides on. At any rate I’m real happy with how it’s cleaning up.

Thanks JM. Im hoping to have it close to running by mid December. Carb kit and fuel pump kit are on their way, gasket set arrived yesterday from Olsons. Crank is out getting polished. I’ve got to clean the bearings and pistons yet. I’ll go through the head whilst I’ve got it apart as well.
