Bruce, on the Twenty Two, I traced the oil galleries from the oil pump and found that there is a location where a full flow could be plumbed in on the side of the block behind the magneto / governor - three holes - two outer ones to the filter and the inner one to plug the gallery. Possibility on your engine? It would require a tear-down to clean out the swarf so that might put it in the not-worth-it bucket but I wanted to pass that on
