I've been working on the new shed off and on this last month or so. Just finished the building and did some grading. Got some extra flat dirt to store more treasures. Also was able to add a section to keep my fuel tank out of the weather. I wish I would've gone 40feet instead of 36feet, gonna be a tight fit for all 4 of my Cats.

Glad I have a lumber factory, really keeps the price down. With the steel roofing, nails and screws I'm all in about $1500. Only other expenses were the fuel for my little excavator and my time, which ain't worth much

Hi, d2gary.

Lookin' good, M8. Those two tractors look pretty comfy in there too.

That shed looks very nice. Not knowing where you live, can you tell us why the walls are slats and not filled solid?

Looking great, always wish it was bigger, and then bigger still. It has been said, the more ground one has, the more it collects. - cts

The main reason for the slats is the availability of the logs. I had some nice big logs that mostly went into beams and framing lumber. The 1 bys came from whatever was left and smaller logs. The prevailing wind is usually out of the south so the southern end where the fuel tank is was boarded up solid. It will stop the rain and snow from coming in pretty well. The slats actually keep out the majority of the rain and snow. They also keep the sun out versus being in direct sunlight .

I am envious (my tractors are envious) of your shed. My sheds are usually Harbor Freight tarps that my brother refers to as "Blue Garages".

Real nice Scott. I'm looking at the shed height and wondering if you have some acquisitions coming up that might be a little bigger than a D2? : )

Nothing in the works but you never know. I learned my lesson on the last shed when the d2 got new tracks and the flapper on the exhaust pipe hit the beam going in. This on has a little more clearance

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
