Hello. What part of La are you from?, my daughter is down there visiting. Gary
That early a 98J would have the D333C engine. 3306 didn't come in until 98J1134-up
96J is a powershift
94J is regular direct drive
98J is Special Application direct drive.
The D6C is rated at 125 hp @1900 rpm. Operating weight with hyd control and 6S blade is 28,600 lbs.
oops! you said D5, that would be 93 fwhp @1750 rpm, operating weight for 74" gauge is 19,100 lbs, 18,700 lbs for the 60" gauge, 74" gauge direct drive is 18,500 lbs, 18,100 lbs for the 60" gauge direct drive.
Thanks for the info,I'm located in amite, la.
Yer welcome. ok
Ok ,so the cat has been purchased!!! I'll try to upload some pics and a vid of the old girl. The old farmer said she has 30"pads on her. And a confirmation of auxiliary hydraulics.
Being a d333c engine, would it be the same ci as a 3306,or the smaller d333a?

It would be the same 4.75"x 6" 638 ci as the 3306
As far as weight any added attachments will increase the weight, wider tracks, cabs/sweeps, roller guards.
Yes the rpm and fuel setting can be increased for ag tractors, but may increase operating temps. Later tractors had aftercoolers to help with this.
