Skinner may have put the curse on me, as I am catching my breath from tugging on this 20. Coughed a couple of times, but not enough to fly. Normally this one fires off easy. Maybe it’s taking Labor Day Weekend off!

Crusty rope is reserved for CTS. I’ve got a nasty one saved from one of the D2’s. It’s GROSS. Dried up dead skin and grease I’m guessing, along with infused sweat.

I might have to place a Cletrac in front of the yard for the Fall decor.

Meanwhile, I patiently wait for my latest batch of magnetos to be tuned up for my 10 and 15.

I’m happy to report I primed the carb and got it to take off on the third crank today, much better success. The carb leaks all over but dang it runs good even on the old stinky gas in the tank.

My memory is thinking that the big 20 had the hole in the bell housing for an electric starter. It might be like the 22s that if the ring gear was not ordered when the machine was built, you have to pull the motor to add one. My memory is a little foggy about this. Does anyone else know? Grant.

Grant: Good point. This one DID start/run easy too;it needs either a good clutch adjustment/clutch brake or replacement. I shall take a light to it and peek.

Anthony looks like he got himself a nice one! What are your plans? Parade duty or just happy to add another to your stash?

@GrantJ Mine has a hole and cover for a starter, but it would have to be pretty short to clear the carb.

@Juiceman I would like to restore it at some point, that would involve making some new fenders and sheetmetal parts. So for now just get it running well and leaks fixed up. If I can figure out the specs I want to look into doing pins and bushings as well.
