Hi, OZPHIL.
That 'test unit' has been out on 'trial' for 5 years or more now, must have some bugs that they haven't ironed out yet, maybe a little 'under-powered'.

Just my 0.02.

Deas, it's new to me however if it's been on "trial" for 5 years, they are obviously in no hurry to get that beast to market. Perhaps we'll see it at CONEXPO next year. Looks like it's rigged for TopCon too.

Hi, Tad Wicks.
I could be wrong but I think a man with one of those could possibly beat the heck out of several wheelbarrows, especially if he had a similar sized shovel with which to load it.

That is one of the two main issues with building bigger trucks, having machines to load them economically, in 3 to 4 passes. The other big issue seems to be tires to carry the load.

Just my 0.02.

Hey Deas, I guess it was a bit of an inside joke, buddy of mine had a D2 with a blade that he just fell in love with, but his running joke was the D2 with a blade was about as close as you could come to running a square point shovel with a Wisconsin engine mounted on the handle.😆😆😆 Tad

Hi, Tad Wicks.
Joke's on him. He oughta try movin' a mountain with an Aveling Barford Calf Dozer:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hZzuHMQfIc

Or a Ransomes MG2, which could be fitted with a 'dozer blade:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idZkF-X6yeY

Yer kin hear an angry buzzin' sound and yer moving without movin' yer feet but yer gotta look DOWN to see what yer settin'on.

And then there's these jiggers - standin' room only:

Hi, Tad Wicks.
Yep. I agree. As odd as it may seem to some with me having spent almost all of my working life on much bigger machines, I would not complain at all if I had a chance to try out any of those 'matchbox models'. If it makes noise, moves dirt and burns fuel, I'm usually pretty happy.

Just my 0.02.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
