Hello all,
I recently have purchased a D4 7U (S/N 7U15097). I would like to know what year this tractor was produced and if anyone can verify what engine is installed in this tractor. It needs some engine work and I want to make sure I get the right engine manual given their cost. Thanks

Thanks, this should get me pointing in the right direction. I'm sure I will have more questions as I start this project.

Welcome to ACMOC, I believe the exhaust manifold part number is 4F7040, it needs 2 gaskets 4F0378 for mounting to the head, plus possibly 1 gasket 2F4586 for the vertical pipe section. There is a great parts search site at Machinery Trader.com, just put in the part numbers and it will show where your parts can be found all across the USA and often the world though I'd suggest buying the new gaskets from your local Cat Dealer as their prices on those items are usually very good and the quality A1. Good used manifolds should be easy to find, just put a advert in the Buy / Sell section, the D4 6U uses the same manifold and lots of those 6U and 7U tractors were sold.
Good luck
Mike
