this section view may help you in identifying said broken plate by the central shaft splines and ridge for the over-center levers to act upon--once you open the clutch housing cover be it top or bottom of the clutch housing depending upon S/No as outlined in one of the scans.

I should have this cluch plate and more
Planning on getting back to it in the near future. Going to look into what all is required to replace, as well as see what else may be damaged. I appreciate the reply and I will be in touch. Thank you.

Do you happen to know if all D4's had a one piece shaft? Possibly later variants had a two piece? That may help in the long term plan for this machine. Between the clutch and the crack in the gear case housing, I'll have some decisions to make. Thank you for the information.
your U series D4 will have the 2 piece shaft/coupling.
