You can get them from Cat.
They don't come with the filters
I made two when mine broke.
I can not remember the size now but , it was ether 1/4 or 5/16 key stock cut to length .
I thin welded a flat fender washer to one end, drilled a small hole on the other end for the pen. WALLA !
Don't have to worry about breaking that one again. LOL .
thanks buddy i hadn't thought of that
has any one added hydraulics to one of these a neighbor has one with the pump driven out the rear of the machine is there an easier way to do this any help would greatly be appreciated
The rear pump is easy if you can find the right mounting hardware, but most of those pumps are getting very worn anymore.Cat made front mounted pumps with mounting hardware, it shouldn't be to hard to mount you can find the right stuff including the pluming. If you wish to put something together yourself I think Cat still sells the flange that bolts to the crankshaft to put a universal joint together to make a short drive shaft to power your pump. The pluming is the biggest job in you need to keep it out of your way to get to service points as well as putting it where you don't ripe it off by things hitting it.
Don't know your knowledge of hydraulics ,all the old systems where high volume low pressure. So if you are planning on using a blade you need to take into account what rams your are going to us to size the pump correctly as if the blade moves to slowly it is much harder to do a good job.But if you wish to us semi modern farm equipment pressure maybe more important than speed.
Hey Nbent,
I was talking to WyoCat (Chad) this morning. He has the Cat set up hydraulics and 4s dozer for your tractor with rear ports too. Send him a private message. Glen
on the service meter on theses is it 4 digits that are all on hour intervals or is the far right digit in tenths
No tenths on these old hour meters, just hours.
