new dirt guards for D4 6U from newer model D4

does anyone know if any of the dirt guards on a newer D4C or D4D will fit on a 6U or 7U. i have my Cat dealer putting together a quote for a set and he told me that Cat will no longer fabricate them on order for my serial number. i was just wondering if the guard group from a newer model could be made to work for my tractor. is there a source for aftermarket?

I am only guessing but would think not. I would guess are friends on this site may be able to find some. Maybe near so you can drive and get them.

There should be a fair amount of them around. Put a WTB ad in the "For Sale/Wanted" forum.
