Good looking old truck. Can't see the pump all that well. Is that an "A" or "B" model 3406?
I see now. Its a "B". Does it have jakes?
No Jake. I've got a lot to learn about the engine. There's only 260k miles on it and it sounds good. I need to find out what is involved in adding a Jake.
I have installed quite a few Jakes on them at the Cat dealer years ago and it,s not too complicated so just go by the instructions.
I have to imagine that insurance is a bit hefty for that combo..but wouldnt drive/much less haul without it! nice rig
If you historic tag it insurance is not that bad on a road tractor. I just went through it. I am trying to post some pics but the wifes laptop is not coperating. If anyone needs the broker I went through send me a pm.

For antique trucks check with gulfway insurance in florida. You will be pleased with their prices and it allows you to pull your trailers and haul your toys to shows. I had my 69 white 9000 antique plated and insured with them for under $400 per year, including my 72 lowboy trailers coverages.
Tom I never saw but one Cat truck engine in a Mack and it came into the Cat dealer for me to repair. There could have been more put in but as I said that was the first and only one I ever saw in a Mack.I guess if you order and pay the price you can get what you want in a truck.
Hi Folks,
I was away for a while and missed the last few replies to this post. Thank you all for this information, it is just what I was hoping for. I am going to check into these insurance companies. Jason, your KW is beautiful and I'm green with envy but I didn't have that budget. Mine is a 1986 GMC Gereral so maybe I've got to wait till next year to do the historic thing. Thanks to all again.
