just coat the new float in gas tank sealer and let dry for 24 hours. you'll be good to go after that.

never thought of the gas tank sealer..... that damn ethanol seems to eat everything these days . another thought, maybe see if Zeneth offers a ethanol safe float

Just found a bad float in my pony motor Zenith carb on my CAT 212 Motor Grader...It appeared to be some sort of porous material in a plastic casing...Bought a new float...looks the same...

I'm wondering about this cork float found in these other carbs...Haven't seen a cork float...I'm wondering if the porous material in the "plastic floats could be removed and a piece of cork put inside it...should the float go bad...The new float seems to be okay for now...Have to finish cleaning all the hardened oil/grease/dirt off the outside of the carb and cleaning all the jets and passages in the carb...

This pony had not been ran for some time...After the magneto quit...Even had to clean the governor real good too...Real dirty...lever not working...lever shaft stuck with old oil...

So, does anyone know where these old cork type floats are available ?...Or just have to make one ? ....
