What OM said. If you can't find someone to rebuild it, send it to me and I will do it. Have done several from various models of CAT engines about that age.
I don't understand the mentality of the CAT dealership not offering more help than that. How many folks are going to buy a replacement track loader when they tell him a new water pump isn't available?? Probably someone will, but most won't....... and the one that will may go buy a John Deere!

Complete new or used pumps can be hard to find. Why not rebuild the one you have. Parts should still be available.![]()
I will call you tomorrow.
Sounds like this project may be a challenge because of unavailability of a replacement for the (damaged) impeller. I am waiting to see it in person.
Friend has a hot rodded 9u D6 that has one of the Cat engines that was built in very small numbers. He needed a water pump and found a company that was into building parts and rebuilding water pumps. Not cheap but he has a working tractor again. I am sure he found them on the web,but if any are interested I can ask if knows the name any more.
