I need to know the size/ or part number for the screws for the pinion motor for my D4 7u 24020. While putting a new clutch in, I realized the housing was knarled up. Also there is a "small gear grabber plate" with 4 tabs on it inside the pinion motor that I am also needing (mine has 2 tabs is all). Please forgive me as I am not a great mechanic/terminology!!

First check the condition of the threads in the pinion sleeve. If they are buggered up you will need to replace the sleeve. Get the later cap screws, from Cat Part for (s/n 7U26008-up) #4H1350 (4-req'd) and locks
#4H1351 (2-req'd).

The cap screws are a specific length and substitution can lead to binding of the sleeve movement. I'd also recommend using loc-tite in addition to the locks. Unfortunately this is a poor design system that needs all the help it can get.
