I'm in a bind...literally and figuratively. My lower sheave block sheared off my blade last week. I need to find a lower 3-pully sheave block for a 1955 Cat D8 cable dozer (s/n #14A0506) with a 12ft straight blade. Anyone by chance have a parts dozer with one? Or, thoughts on where to look? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Bmcnamara,

I've got one in Petaluma, California. How do you want to ship it? Is anybody headed that way for the show back east? I'm going to Brooks Show, can anybody deliver it from there?

7upuller,

Sorry for the late reply. I've been out-of-town and just saw your reply. I'm very interested in your lower sheave block. Do you have any pictures? I've found some that seemed close but no cigar so far. Mine has 3 pulleys and the holes that the pin goes through to attach to the stop I believe are 1-5/8". I'll pay for the shipping if it is the one I need. Please let me know.

Thanks!

Bryan,

If you can't get a hold of Glen, see my post in Cat Parts List for Fresno Tractor. They have blades and very likely have a sheave. Give Carl Urive a call. You can use my name if you want.
