Recently bought the portable track press that was advertised on this site... now facing the challenge of shipping it from
Minnesota to California.

It consists of the track press mounted on a rubber tired axle, one pallet of parts, and a couple boxes of tooling... requiring perhaps 15-18' of bed space, and weighing about 6000 lbs.

If you're coming west-bound and have room to get it all or part of the way, it would be very much appreciated... a generous contribution to your fuel fund goes without saying.

The point of origin is Cloquet,MN .... Destination is in the San Francisco Bay area of CA.

If you're coming to the National show in Tremonton I could pick it up there.

You may contact me by PM, or at: 831-476-0440 Thank You, Wayne

Hey Wayne,

I will have to see if it will fit. How long is the trailer exactly. How big is the pallet.
My plan is to leave Petaluma, Ca 10 days or so before the National show. I have a D4-7u to haul to Chad's in Wyoming. Chad wants me to go to Wally's and bring 5 more Cats on the load. We will see how many I can fit on. Then I need to load my Cat 60 and a two axle "B Model" Mack on. Then head to the National Show on the way back. Get the info of exact length. I'll see if it will fit.

Thanks Glen, I sent you a PM... the updated sizes are : 11' long, 95'' wide, 60'' tall, plus the boxes of tooling which can fit beneath it.

Please give me a call: 831-476-0440 Thanks, Wayne

[quote="Garlic Pete"]Glen - are you talking about moving it from MN to Tremonton, or are you going to move from Tremonton to bcwayne. If the latter, I think old iron habit mentioned that he might be able to get it from MN to Tremonton. bcwayne - you might want to connect up with old iron habit here, by private message or email if you need that leg handled.

If Glen doesn't have room, we can probably work out something for a ride back from Tremonton, if necessary. pbloom (at) ymail (dot) com.

Thanks Pete, I've talked with old-iron-habit, and his work is so busy he might not make it to the show... if he does , he will fly in for a day or two.
