There is a # 60 Elevating Grader SN K225 that needs some work.
I would like to get it running before the first of Nov. but i need help with the ID of the engine.
Engine SN 6A31, according to the book it shows it as an power unit 1931
It looks like a 28 engine?
I need a manifold, Carb, and Mag.
Any help would be most helpful.
chriscokid,
My information show the Caterpillar Sixty elevating Grader of 1931 was basically the same as the Russell 42 Giant but featured a larger 28” diameter plow disk and started with Sn K1. Other information states the engine for the Sixty Elevating Grader was power by the 36 horsepower 4200G (gas) engine.

I would bet my bottom dollar that this machine was sold at auction near Siren, Wisconsin a couple weeks ago, it looks like an exact twin to the one I saw there. Am I right?😖uspicious:
yes it is the same one.
So... what tractor has a 4200G engine?

4200G was use in the "20"as well as the number 7 (1932-1933) and number 9 (1931-1932) Auto Patrols

Kelly is correct on the 4200G engine usage. That would be L/PL "20". The engine is 4" bore x 5.5" stroke.
Tom is correct as well.

Our club has a PL20. I spent many hours working on it. The manifold looks like ours did. Catiron gave us one section of a nice manifold,The other we had spray welded. It does not look that nice , but works.
Did you get the conveyor and or disc with it?
