My Cat 12E grader for sale...your opionions appreciated..

Hi everyone....I have listed on this website my 1965 Caterpillar 12E road grader for sale. I paid $9500 for this 5 years ago. I did put some money into better tires. It does need a little work. I am looking for opinions about my asking price for this machine. I have it listed also in 3 other places also. I have only had one "concrete" response, a gentleman who looked at it, and offered me $3000. I had the machine running and demonstrated that everything works and graded my long road. Am I asking too much ??? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!! THANK YOU! Roland

well with a quick look on machinery trader i would say you might be in the range. the price dose seem in the range but unless the buyer has a paying job for it that's getting up there for a "toy" lol. i know tires are very expensive to buy and put on.
