Good Morning Knowledge Base - Is there an east coast supplier of aftermarket packing and seals for Cat, that recognizes the Cat part numbers? I've been to a bunch online, sourced by google and the forum here, and get "Idunno" entering the Cat number to cross to. I'm looking for a bucket tilt rebuild pak, the cylinder weeps out of the top end and might as well do the whole thing while it's apart. Next I want to steam clean the whole machine, I need it to be dry, clean and yellow, is there any warnings about the cleaning process? In reference, a green german tractor series, I own one, is notorious for having injector pump issues if experiencing sudden temp changes, like pressure washing when it's not cold. there will be more questions thanks
Just as an aside, I was using the loader yesterday pm, and needed to move out the stump of an 18+ inch ash tree that I cut down a year ago, I got the bucket under one edge of the root ball and popped it out and up and over like nothing, with the tractor saying what's next, dumbfounded, just another class of machinery from farm tractors, the damage I'm going to wreak

That thing is old enough I doubt the part numbers are going to be much help. I usually do a search online for the part numbers in the parts book and if nothing shows up, its time to measure it up and start looking. You never know, CAT may supply cylinder seal kits still.

One place that has just about any kind of hydraulic oil seal is Hercules Bulldog

https://herculesus.com/

There are plenty of local hydraulic shops across the country, so there may be someone close to you that can supply the seals you need if you take the old ones and some of the parts they fit in/around to them for measurement.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Cat has changed the numbering system to make things more friendly for the computers. From observation of comments on this board some dealerships and some parts persons are much more helpful than others. Yes I said persons rather than man because my last order was taken care of by a woman that seemed to know her stuff. I have a parts book the same vintage the as the u series D6 and this dealer to date is happy to work with old numbers. Your shovel is of the same decade,or maybe newer.

Would be good if the right information was in a sticky. But the new system adds 0,s to the old number to get the same number of digits as modern numbers, if my memory is correct.

I became aware of Regal parts before I got into "tractor porn" and all the places this site helps you to find. They always used Cat numbers and parts have been OK. In the early days they had a lot of genuine Cat parts that had been lost in a warehouse for decades. But not sure if they are still doing business.

Try this, https://www.machinerytrader.com/parts/construction-equipment/search. Regal is still in business. Good luck.
