😕I was cutting in some trails yesterday with the D2.Did about 7 hours work when I lost power to move.It seemed the rpms dropped and it stopped in its tracks.I let it sit for a while and fired it back up,the rpms are up but it won't move unless you pull back and hold the clutch lever and at a snails pace.I pulled the plate to adjust the clutch.I pulled the adjustment pin out which is sitting approximately 1/2 way in the row of holes, but couldn't get it to budge to the next hole.I am thinking it's just and adjustment with the clutch,Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,Mark

Looks like two opposite issues!! Is the final analysis that the engine is ok and it's the clutch? Or,,, is the clutch bound up against the housing somehow?

Strange it would be Ok for 7hrs then all of a sudden have a clutch prob that you did not notice creeping up on you. This is going to be an interesting thread.

It definately has me stumped.I took the plate off above the clutch. The clutch spins when not engaged and does move forward when engaged.I have been wanting to adjust the clutch for some time but cannot get the pin the move to the next hole. The clutch lever does have play but still snaps into the engaged position.

hello lil d2 ,you could end play in the big end ,maybe it floating back jamming the clutch .try the end play at the front pulley ,see if it will move out towards the rad .bruce oz

Perhaps it sheared the fiber clutch disk teeth where they engage the flywheel ???

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
