Good Morning,

I'm new here and could use some help please.

I bought an older D7 E from an auction because of its good condition. How do I now convert the SN. to standard Cat number to help find the right books for this machine, and to order parts.

The tag at left of drawbar reads.... 75E2073
On hyd tank .............................. 76E79
On blade ................................... 77E1069

Thank-you for any help !!

Dave

Old Magnet and Seiscat , Thank you both for a fast response. I do need books and had no place to start.

BTW, stupid question . How do you reply here ? I only see a ''reply with quote button''.

The "Reply to thread" button on the left side of the bottom of the thread. If you edit your profile to allow your town or at least your general location to show it will save time on future posts.

75E started in 1965, so I would think 1965 or 66 at the latest.

Thanks Catskinner,

A '66 is newer than me, and much older than a lot of Iron around here.

But she should still push just fine.

Hey EdB,

Great table list. 9a 2262 is MaryAnn. With 10 built at first I wonder why only four listed?
Thanks for posting...

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
