Goes like this.
78E1 - 500 equals 48A6393 - 6882.
78E501 - up equals 48A6883 - up which is also the high hp change s/n.
Don't think there is much difference between military and civilian other than maybe wiring harness and some bolt on military preference accessories.
Thank you for the reply Old Magnet. I am going to look at what is described to me as a very clean high horse D7E later this week. I wonder what else they got wrong besides the serial number prefix?

The military version was 75E not 78E. Not splitting hairs, just want to point it out for future reference to this thread.
