I second Mel's thank you to our service men and women both living and departed. Without the huge sacrafices that our departed and live veterans and active duty men and women have made we would have nothing. Please thank a veteran for our freedom this weekend and always.👍
Well said both SeeBee and Tom!
As a former USAF Senior Navigator and Instructor, lets also not forget to be thankful for and pray for blessings on the many dependents and families of both the active duty members and veterans. The spouses, and other family members, unsung support is a critical element of military life! May God bless them all!:usa2:
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Folks.
I TOTALLY agree with the sentiments expressed above for the departed and the surviving veterans of both our nations. How-wevver, I would ask, "WHY only remember them on the 'appropriate' holidays?" Why not be thankful EVERY day for what they have done and for what they have given to keep us free?
Just my 0.02.

Well said Deas, it's just that some folks take it for granted so it takes a special holiday to force them to be thankful (We hope). Unfortunatley, some only think it is an excuse to fire up the BBQ grill.
I think I will take a trip to visit my Dad and Uncles who served in "The Big One" and plant a few flowers.
