Might be related to the number of members that never make a post. About half of the members never make a posting so it might be that group didn't see any value in "re-upping" on the new board. Just a thought!!
With the email verification it takes a little effort for someone to be a "member" and some don't want to put forth the effort. My 2 cents.

I don't like to ask but how many were bothered by the squabling on the old site and chose not to re-up.

Well I preferred the "looseness" of subject matter in the old board and the relative freeness to post pictures that displayed a varied box of crayon colors more than the present color of grey and cat yellow mandated now by the rules. Stating that, I'm more of a lurker these days. BUT, I will say this new board format is much more stable and dependable for completing a post once started than the old could ever claim 😄 . Again thanks to Joe Black and his efforts to make the BBS more reliable 😊 .

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
