Going to be a lot of differences. The D7F is 78" gauge, the 17A is 74". Blade trunnions are different as well as trunnion bearings and caps. I don't have dimensions for the push arm lengths but suspect they will be different also.
Cat 'C" frames have internal gussest that are welded in during fabrication. If cut through you wont be able to reweld them thus weakening the the frame.
I have used a 17A 'C' frame on a D6D with very minimal changes, however don't believe it would fit a D7F without overly major engineering. Maybe try looking for an off make/colour 'C' frame from an IH 20 or the likes.

Not a hope of making a 17A A-frame fit to a D7F. The D7F is based on the D7E, which was released in 1961 as a "totally-new, redesigned", and substantially-increased-in-size tractor, over the previous model D7.
Your chances of finding a good, used angle blade for a D7F in Australia are pretty slim. You have the choice of biting the bullet and the $14,500 asking price for the one that's available, or hiring in a tractor with an angle blade, for the job.
Hi Mate. I’ve got an angle tilt blade on my old D7E. Also have a Bull tilt blade sitting next to it. If you need any measurements let me know. I’ve also got an old D7 7m with a bull blade. I’m pretty sure the 17a tractor is the same size as my 7m. There is no way I could swap blade assembly’s between the E and 7m. The E is a quite noticeable in that is is larger.
Im trying to do the same similiar thing. I have a big FLECO rake and so i want to build push arms for it so that I can swap it back in forth between my D7E and D7G looks like the trunnions are about 3" differnce in width between the 2 dozers.
Im trying to decide if i want to make bolt on trunnions so that i can adjust them or what on the rake side.
