hi folks.
i have an Eiseman magneto # RC2Q which i understand came from a D8 8R. Can i use this on my Diesel 35?
The Diesel 35 was originally fitted with a GV2Q (from the parts book).
Thanks.
peter.

No, the 8R has a vertical flange mount and your D35 has an inverted base mount mag.

i see that the RC mag does have mounting holes in its base- presumeably they use the same casting for vertical/horizontal/ base mounting...
so if i can live with the vertical flange being 'redundant', will my mag do the job???
thanks.

I just looked at the magneto on my RD6 and it is an RC2Q. So you should be able to use yours on the 35 diesel.

thanks matt.
does your mag still have a redundant vertical mounting flange on the impulse end and does it attach via 4 bolts in the base (upside down)?

No redundant flange mount, only the four bolts that hold it on upside down.
