I bought a running 22 that came with a WICO XH 1344 mag. I have not been able to drum up much info on the 1344 mag.

After reading several other mag-related threads here (thanks) I learned that the WICO XH 184 is a pretty good alternative to the old Eisemann mags, and I was able to pick up one of those up reasonable.

My question is this - is the XH 1344 also an OK substitute or should I change over to the XH 184?

Also, any advice on testing one myself, or am I better off to ship it off to someone who knows what they are doing?

Appreciate your help😊

Briefly it should be OK to use either , I am no expert but play around with them a bit. If it throws an 8-10 ml blue spark then it should be OK. If you don't have access to a test bench , then carefully remove impulse and ,place in a vice and run it up with electric drill . Just make sure your new one has the correct rotation .Good luck

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
