Good morning gentlemen of ACMOC! Hope someone out there could be of some assistance with my search for a D6 9U in Texas. We have been looking for a few months and have located some nice ones out there, but unfortunately not around here and the mileage is an issue with being able to look at them and getting it home once we find the right one. 😊

My father (RIP 2011) had a D6D, direct drive with straight blade, she was a sweet old girl and he loved her dearly. With his passing last year at age 92 and some asset issues with greedy family over the last several years, the old girl has been neglected and basically left to rust away. I have many fond memories of riding pup with my dad and had hopes of many more years of service with her on our family ranch, but alas this is not to be. 😞 So now we are looking for a dozer of our own.

I have learned so much from the forum discussions here! Thank you in advance for any help y'all can offer! Have a blessed Sunday!

Yes David I have been looking at every site I can find on dozers for sale...we have found several that are in our price range, but they are all up north and this makes it difficult to go look. The D6 9U is a well built machine and there aren't really that many out there for sale. Would like to find one in Texas if possible, we lost most of our timber on 375 acres due to the drought and NEED to get started cleaning up the damage from the loggers scrapping out the dead trees.

Thank you for your response...hopefully we can find what we are looking for. 😊

Lady Cat Skinner,

Ritcie Bros has a D6-d and a D7-f coming up in Fort Worth Auction in two weeks. Also here is a link to a D6-c with a logging winch in Texas, http://www.machinerytrader.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=8350799& -glen

Thank you 7upuller for the information...I had looked at the one on machinery trader and passed on lookin at it. I have my heart set on a 1948 to 1958 D6 9U 😊 ... prefer hydraulic over cable, simply because never ran a cable blade before, manual or automatic doesn't matter, have used both.

Gonna keep lookin til I find the one I'm wanting. Thanks again and have a blessed evening 7upuller!

Thank you Glen...I had seen the 1973 in San Antonio for 22000, looks decent but just a bit outta my price range 😊 looking for an older model too. Saw the 2 listed at Ritchie Bros. too, but auction is just not my thing when it comes to big equipment.
