Hi All,

I am looking for the following spare parts:

4B4100 Studs 21 pcs
5B9658 Chamber 4 pcs
4B3551 Gasket 3 pcs

I also need a rubber seal that fits between the two engines but could not find part number - picture attached

Can anyone help me or else advise where I could source these?

Thanks

If you have not called Cat, I would start there. In the past (almost 20 years ago) Regal had a lot of parts for the 1950's stuff. In the past we had a nice list of aftermarket parts suppliers.

Not being familiar with the D2 stuff I could be wrong. But Cat was big on using big thick o rings. After being smashed for 50 to 75 years when removed they look like they started as a square seal but are not. Just a common o ring.

You sure you’re working on a D2 and not a D4, only reason I ask is because the picture of the gasket that fits between the two engines is for a D4? That gasket from Caterpillar I think is also around $115.00 now so if it’s not in bad shape reuse it.

Hi Clayton, you can use them on both. There's an instruction where the top edge of the top cover can be rounded so that that gasket can be slipped in without disturbing the pony. I put one on my 5U after rounding the sharp edge. Man, that price is up there isn't it.

Here's the instructions (hopefully...):

Hi Neil yes you are correct, IG1990 sorry for the incorrect info, the price is rather steep I feel.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
