Hello everyone,

My name is James and I am currently working for a small company in Northern Ontario that has come into possession of almost two hundred different parts for CAT machines. I believe the majority of them are for the D6 Dozer we also acquired, but I'm not certain as the gentleman we purchased them from owned a variety of machines throughout his career.

I have been able to find part numbers for most of the pieces, and identify their basic use through the internet, but I was hoping to get more specific. As an example if I have a Steering Booster, I'd like to be able to say that it's a Steering Booster that was made for a 1977 D6R Dozer and will fit on models D2 through to D8 (As a made up example) Or for the pieces I have that are identified as "bearings" or "Housing" to be able to say what that Housing is specifically for.

Is there a web database or some other information source that can be recommended to me? I would like to get as thorough of an inventory as I can and this would help greatly.

Thank you for your time and help,

James

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
