They had one Cat Ten on display. Possible 3 remnants as parts.

Frank,
I'll try and answer a few questions about the machines pictured. The first set of a Ten with blade is a tractor owned by one of our chapter members. He has been associated with the Museum for many years and is able to store a lot of his tractors onsite including the blue and red chain-drive 1918? Mack in the first picture. The FIFTEEN with the wood sun canopy belongs to the Museum. The other machines including the 20 with terracer, all belong to another of our members who lives in Long Beach. These guys don't follow the BB but I'm hesitant to name them here for privacy reasons. None of them that I know of, are for sale. I have tried the buy one of the terracers but no deal yet. I'm glad you were able to give us a visit as we think we have a lot of good stuff around to see. Did you get up to the harverster barn to see the 1918 Holt side-hill harvester. It is a gem and in rather good condition. It was donated to the Museum some time back. Our club is investigating how we can reposition all the Cat stuff for better viewing. These things take time.

Seeing the different cats helped me locate where the parts go on the cat 10 I am working on.
Would you know anyone familiar with working on the tens and 15s? Is there a shop manual for the Cat 10?
Regards,
Frank
Hi frank, yes there is a parts manual take a look on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Caterpillar-Fifteen-Tractor-Parts-Catalog-/121542344372?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item1c4c7cfeb4&vxp=mtr
Like this but for a ten.
Can anyone tell me if the clutch fork is upside down on the pic of the engine? It must of been out to take engine out and it has been put back in wrong. My book shows it going on the top with the bolts to the back.for my fifteen.
Thanks stew

Frank,
Search the internet for Jensales for manuals. I buy mine there. The photos are not as clear as the original but the printed words are the same. I brought back a FIFTEEN over the last two years. I am out of the country but you can ask me questions by sending me an email ([email protected]) or PM.
Blakeystew- For a FIFTEEN, it should install above the bearing as you mention. After seeing Pat's post, I guess the TEN goes under the bearing. Never did a TEN so don't know.
