[size=100]Hi Tony, I received a renewal notice and envelope inserted in the envelope for ACMOC issue #165. The renewal said to give a credit card number or enclose a check. Mrs. seiscat likes paper records so I enclosed my check #10474 for $67.00 on March 3. I just checked and that check never has posted. I have never been late renewing my membership in 11 years.
I wonder how many ACMOC members who "Don't do computers" have mailed checks in that weren't cashed. Those members quit receiving their magazine and if they tried to telephone ACMOC they only got an answering machine. I think we might have lost those members for good. Apparently we don't have anyone to check the mail!
Tony you know much I have done to promote the club through my submissions to the library etc. I donated $500.00 to ACMOC by credit card on January 14, 2024.
Please let me know what can be done to resolve this problem ASAP.

Hi Craig,
Firstly I have updated your details on the website, and you have continuous membership, so you are now good to go.
When Mary retired, we could not afford a replacement and so we had to devise ways to operate the club with minimal manual intervention, hence auto renewals.
One ex board member kindly agreed to man the telephone during 2023 as a transition and at the end of 2023 an automated answering system was put in place referring to different sections of the website and club email addresses.
Also we changed the club address back to one in Oregon, which is a mailbox service. Cheques arriving in the post are scanned and emailed to our treasurer, who then processes them.
The club is now entirely run by volunteers and our treasurer has a full time job which is exceedingly busy at this time of year.
We need more volunteers to help out!
