Last week I purchased a running RD4 with a LeTourneau cable operated blade and the seller had a bunch of miscellaneous manuals. I got this neat LeTourneau Dozer Instruction book and noticed that there is not a copy in the technical library and I would like to offer to send it in to be scanned into the library, as long as I can get it back.
It's only about 38 pages but it has a lot of great info. So maybe one of you members could direct me to the person who has the ability to scan it in? Not sure if I could scan it then send it as a pdf?
Any help is appreciated!

Even those pages look good, so just take photos of them as you did these four and that's good enough. If you square the page in the viewfinder and make it fill as much of the view as it will fit, that'd be great. Those photos are very clear and legible

Hi CrawlerAddict,

I use my iPhone to scan documents directly into PDF format. I imagine that an android phone could do the same.
To do this, go into "Notes" on your iPhone, and select the (write a) new note option. Then select the camera icon, followed by "Scan Documents". This opens the camera then follow instructions. It's possible to scan upto to 24 pages into one PDF file (if more then you could create two documents which can be added together). It is also possible to "crop" the images as well.
I've scanned many of the (24 page) Chapter 2 magazines in this way and they are now safely stored in the club library.

Thank you so much for offering to help with the manual. The library is a good resource for members current and future.

Best Regards, John

Eric: I use "Adobe Scan" on my iphone to create PDF. You just need a steady hand for the scanning and then share a copy.
Seiscat used to scan everything for the library and is no longer among the living. He will be missed. A super nice fellow and passionate about the club. JM
